Vegan bean-burger

For this amazing burger you need some pre-cooked beans. I never use a can, because Sattvic means unprocessed and fresh food. If you cook your beans you can easily put some portions in the freezer. The multicoloured beans I used for this dish were just soaked and cooked.

Put in a food processor walnuts, the home cooked beans, chickpea flower, arrow, baking powder, salt, pepper, chili flakes, cumin powder, smoked paprika, curry and coriander. Add tomato sauce and a little bit ketjap manis or soy sauce. Mix well. Make the form of a burger like in the second picture. Sometimes you need to put the prepared burgers in the freezer to let them become stiff a little bit, but that is totally not necessary with this recipe: the chick pea flower gives it the perfect structure already (and great taste I must say).

Just bake the burger in coconut oil for 10-12 minutes while flipping. Serve with whatever you like. I added cucumber, tomato and avocado on a whole wheat very Dutch ‘broodje’ (petit bread) and some home made yoghurt sauce. Easy. Fast. Delicious. Sattvic. Vegan. No meat. Make the world a better place 😉
