Everything once started with the beautiful energy of the Mother: Prana Shakti. The life giving energy of love. Then the elements came after the big beng. Then earth came. Then life came. Then human life came. Everything in the world is part of this huge cloud of love. All life has a flow of prana through its essence of being. Humans are pure love and prana is flowing through our chakras combining energy, fluid and solid substance into a balance of ‘living being’.
Although nowadays, this foremost female energy is treated horribly in the world. Millions of females are victims of human trafficking. Millions of women are victims of domestic violence. Millions of women are victims of harassment. Millions of women are victims of rape. Millions of women die as a result of how they are being treated. We females were once the strongest race; we were more than half the world population and we grew older than men. That has changed. Men grow older than women now and there are less women in the world than man nowadays, due to violence. Previous studies show that more women have been killed in the last century of domestic violence, than men have died in warzones. What is happening to us? What is happening to love?
‘It’s always been a mystery to me how people can respect themselves when they humiliate other humans’. Mahatma Gandhi
One of the biggest problems in the world nowadays is the unheard-of treatment of women. We all know that a country stands with its females. Every person comes out of the womb of a woman: treating her badly equals mistreat to all mankind. Nothing works without a woman! If the whole world would blow up: what will be left? Energy and ether, thus love or Prana Shakti in space. That makes her the strongest energy of all. She can never be destroyed! That is why Shakti stands for love, but also pure strength.
The problem of nowadays life is that we focus too much on the negative. We focus on powerful rich men who treat us bad and take advantage of their position harassing women. We focus on what goes wrong. What’s in our minds, creates our world! It is the law of attraction, that is very simple. If we have hatred, fear and anger in our minds, then that is what we attract. Particles of the same merge together. That does not mean we cannot fight for our rights, we have to defend ourselves to our maximum capacity. We have to fight for our daughters, sisters, mothers, aunts, grandmothers, cousins and friends. We need to stand up for ourselves, but we become stronger in our battles, with more of the strongest energy of the universe in ours hearts: love.
An austere life (according to the Bhagavad Gita), means that you always look at your own shortcomings, before critizing others. So what can we learn from this? It is better to focus on light. On the right thing. On love. Not the things that go wrong in life. Or react negatively on negative persons. We have to focus on female strength, only then it will increase!
Today is the last day of the nine days and nine nights of Navratri. After the darkness of the night, there will always be sunshine the next day. We learn that inner demons like hatred, desire, egoism, materialism, fear, ignorance, anger, resentment and many more, are always part of us. It is our job in this life to overcome all these negative thoughts, emotions and patterns. When we’re dissolving them inside of ourselves, the world around us changes too.
With a path of yoga it is possible to overcome all these inner demons. With Jnana Yoga you get the knowledge of these patterns so that you can overwin them. You need to know about their existence before being able to do that. The negative energy flows off and makes place for love. That is Karma Yoga: love will shine in your life because of right action. Not ‘love’ as in a romance, but the unconditional love, the life giving energy of Prana Shakti. Then you will understand that everything is love and do everything to serve love: Bhakti Yoga. When we reach Moksha, liberation, we have full awareness of the fact that we are love. We have to become love, in order to be able to merge into love. Only particles of the same vibration attract.
But if we reach Moksha and we are in an inner state of love (this is called the state of yoga), and we realize that we live in an outer world without love, with so much darkness everywhere we look; what can we do? During Navratri we are reminded of the fact that Prana Shakti is the most powerful energy there is. Female energy will always win, because only Ma Durga was able to overcome all these demons; men could not do that. Not even the three most powerful Gods Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Who couldn’t they defeat? Mahishasura, a dark and smart demon who was representing ‘ego’. We are not our ego, or the Self we think we are, because we are love. And only by realizing that God-Self, we can reach Moksha. You have to let go of ego, to become as loving as God to be able to merge together with God. And although you might not believe in God, it doesn’t matter, it is about the essence of these symbolic Vedic stories (which existed long before ‘religion’ came into the world). And the essence is that love is female, love is God and love is the strongest particle there is. Light and love will always win over darkness and hatred. Durga riding her lion was able to defeat all evil with the strength and weapons of the three male Gods and the power of love in her heart, so that love and light could shine for everybody. She became love by defeating those inner demons with the only art to open the heart: yoga. That made her the strongest incarnation of Prana Shakti ever in history.
We can learn from Durga, that we women have the great task this life to focus on love; then it will increase. Not on all those men that have been treating us like trash the past century; we women are not equal to men. We women are much more valuable than men. We carry much more of the life giving energy than men. It is this inner strength of Shakti that we have, that cannot be tamed. How could we have ever been able to survive a male dominated, aggressive society for centuries? Let’s focus on that. Let’s focus on what went right and what we have reached the past decades, let’s focus on female power. Then our strength will increase and the so called power of men that cannot even carry the name of ‘hu-man’ will flow off, as if ego has never existed.
‘To call woman the weaker sex is a libel; it is man’s injustice to woman. If by strength is meant brute strength, then, indeed, is woman less brute than man. If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man’s superior. Has she not greater intuition, is she not more self-sacrificing, has she not greater powers of endurance, has she not greater courage? Without her, man could not be. If nonviolence is the law of our being, the future is with woman. Who can make a more effective appeal to the heart than woman?’ Mahatma Gandhi
So here is the solution: Let’s live a righteous life and do the right thing ourselves. Let’s give the right example and treat others with love, although they’ve treated us otherwise. Let’s give love to Mother Earth, nature and the elements. Let’s just love. Let’s focus on love. Let’s love our children. Let’s give love to those who need it. Shine a light on everybody who comes to you. Send loving thoughts to everybody who is treating us badly; their darkness will dissolve with our love. Hating them and give (negative) attention to their acts, is only increasing their power; shine the light of love and it will disappear as if you light a candle in a dark room. Darkness will vanish spontaneously with the light of love. These are the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, of Mahatma Gandhi, of Mother Theresa, of Martin Luther King jr. of Jesus Christ, of Rumi, of Nelson Mandela and of last but certainly not least; the Buddha.
Shine light during meditation to corners in the world you cannot imagine to go to in real life, because of darkness and war; just shine a light over there from your heart. Because this light of love is a particle, and it will travel the ether and be received over there. Everything once started with ‘ether and prana or love’. So this is the strongest ‘thing’ that ever existed. When we die, we become this huge cloud of love again, and fly the ether. That huge cloud of love is our soul. And if we accumulate more love this life, our soul will have a better existence in the next life. That is the real truth or Sathya about our existence.
We don’t take our political power and big ego with us, or our bankaccounts, houses, furniture and clothes: at the end the only thing we take with us is love, because that is our soul. Men might look powerful today, but in the end, they will not be as powerful as a truthful loving woman. Females are pure incarnations of the Goddess of Life-force Shakti. Living in love, means becoming your true God-Self. That makes you a strong person with a stable character. There is nothing more powerful than that: you become Divine. You become part of God. That does not mean we have to accept how we are treated, we need to fight and stand up for our rights, but with love in our hearts. That is our strength. That is what we can learn from the thousands of years old story of Ma Durga.
‘Men can only think. Women have a way of understanding without thinking. Woman was created out of God’s own fancy. Man, He had to hammer into shape.’ Rabindranath Tagore
God is love. Only through love we can reach love. Love is the essence of our being. That is Prana Shakti and she is definitely feminine. We women have more of the Divine energy inside of us then men, so I dare say we have God on our side! We will win. Love will win. Don’t you worry about it, just love. Love with acts of unconditional love and right action. We women don’t need men to fill our tanks of love; we are pure unconditional love ourselves. It is up to us, to give it to the world and let everything shine again. Every thought of love is a particle of the Divine Mother Prana Shakti shining somewhere; focus on love, then She will increase. Every person has this life-giving energy inside of him (yes, men too), so focus on love and that person will also become ‘loving’. Just like that, we will have world peace; the world will be fixed once and for all. Simple.
With so much love, Janayitri Brahmanda
